Our Team.

For over 20 years, Sean Rankine has been producing and directing some of America’s most memorable reality television series. He began his career in 1999 alongside the birth of American reality, working on the iconic MTV series “The Real World” and “Road Rules” as a Production Assistant and Researcher. His credit list now includes over 50 seasons of series and specials for both cable and broadcast television. He is CEO and Co-President of This Way Out Media, Inc. 
 

Sean has produced series spanning all segments of the reality genre. Follow Docs, House Reality, Competition/Elimination, Docuseries, Occu-soaps and “Soft Scripted” projects have all been traversed with success and acclaim. Having worked with notable celebrities, actors, supermodels, athletes, musicians and even members of The Brady Bunch, his shows are often memorable and buzz-worthy. His directorial credits include 10 cycles of MTV’s “Making the Band” as well as several other series. A strong passion for television has allowed Sean to serve as an Executive Producer on over 18 cable series for Viacom, like “Saddle Ranch”, “I Want to Work for Diddy”, “College Hill” and “College Hill:Interns”.
 

In recent years, as the Executive Producer behind 11 seasons of the wildly popular series “Basketball Wives” and “Basketball Wives: LA” he has logged over 200 episodes on VH1 alone. Additional recent credits include the popular series: “The Rap Game” and “Making A Model w/ Yolanda Hadid” for Lifetime. As well as “Your Husband is Cheating on Us”, “Camp Getaway” and “Married to Medicine:LA” for BRAVO. Serving as an Executive Proudcer for OWN’s “lyanla: Fix My Life” and “Put A Ring On It. PEACOCK’s “The Jojo Siwa Project” and BET’s “College Hill:Celebrity Edition”.
